 | Summertime has been celebrated within popular culture as long as can be remembered. Well marketed as a period in the year for relaxation and discovery, it tends to spark a certain enthusiasm towards experience. People often find themselves momentarily distanced from their everyday routines to embrace a dream within a day, a night, a week, or a fortnight, to encourage the development of memories that could last a lifetime. For the 41 contestants of the 2013 West Coast Hooters Swimsuit Finals Pageant, the dawn of yet another summer season would present to them another chance at doing something quite amazing with an opportunity upon a prestigious international stage just within their grasp. So, as the curtains opened up once again with the glitter of effects and lights in their eyes, it was up to them to make those next steps forward count, as the heat of competition would eventually intensify during the swimwear segment of the contest.
